There are a ton of fan made Star Wars movies out there, but none as beautifully crafted as this one. You can click the CC at the bottom of the video to see a translation from the original Italian. I’m amazed by the beautiful special effects and design. It feels gritty and real, yet touched with modern imaginings of information technology. Now imagine if the prequels had this kind of power and sweep and passion?
The flick was created by amateur ( though not for long ) director Angelo Licata, who’s made a series of Star Wars shorts called Dark Resurrection, that you can check out here.
Enjoy the high def movie below. Adjust its settings to 720 or 1080p and turn on the closed captions and you are good to go.
This flick was really good. Thanks for pointing me to it. I found the second one translated on YouTube as well.

Thanks for posting that second link. I have to check that out. I was amazed at how good the special effects were for such a low budget flick. It’s amazing what you can do with a lot of passion. The story could have been better, but I have no doubt these guys will find funding and a writer worthy of their talents. I’m certainly open to it. 🙂
And you are right, the good thing about having a blog at the early stages of it’s readership, is that you can have a conversation. 1000 comments is intimidating. A few is not.
